The call: Since 2017, Samuel has carried a strong call from God to reach people for Jesus.

Being from Ethiopia, he has a deep passion for preaching the Gospel to unreached people

groups, helping young people come out of dark situations, and showing them the hope of Jesus.

Kaitlyn, from the United States, has always carried a heart to love the unlovable and to bring the

message of Jesus to those who have no access to the Gospel.

Samuel and Kaitlyn met on the mission field in 2023, got married in 2024, and have seen God

faithfully align their hearts and calling. After they were married, they welcomed their baby girl,

Evangeline, in February 2026—a beautiful gift in the middle of their mission journey.

About five years ago, God gave Samuel a vision for Ethiopia. He clearly spoke: “I’m sending you

to Ethiopia—to tell them about Me, to set them free, and to your people.

” In that moment,

Samuel also saw a map of Ethiopia with the center circled and arrows pointing outward to every

unreached people group. At the time, it felt confusing—especially because he is originally from

Ethiopia. But at the end of 2024, God began to breathe new life into that same vision in a

powerful way.

He began stirring both of their hearts for the unreached in Ethiopia—especially the more than 33

tribes who have not yet come to know Him personally.

In August 2025, by faith and obedience, Samuel and Kaitlyn moved to Ethiopia. Through prayer,

surrender, and ongoing conversations with their leaders at SOS Adventure, they said “yes” to

what God was leading them into and stepped fully into full-time missions.

They have fully said “yes” to the call of God—to live in His will, bring Jesus to every people

group in Ethiopia, plant His Church, and see a blood-washed Africa.
